Energy Efficiency Audit is a study that demonstrates the potential of modernization initiatives by showing the energy effect in the form of reduced consumption of various types of energy.
The main advantage of conducting an Energy Efficiency Audit is the possibility of applying for Energy Efficiency Certificates (White Certificates), thus increasing the profitability of the entire project. The Energy Efficiency Audit is the most important document, which is the basis for issuing energy efficiency certificates.
White Certificates, also known as Energy Efficiency Certificates, are documents certifying that energy efficiency has been increased through modernization measures, resulting in reduced energy consumption. White Certificates are financial instruments listed on the Energy Exchange and have a real monetary value, similar to shares listed on the Stock Exchange. The Energy Efficiency Certificate system is aimed at entities that plan to implement energy efficiency projects using their own financial resources.
There are several ways to finance an energy efficiency project, including:
a. Own funds,
b. White Certificates system,
c. Subsidies, e.g. FENG – ecological loan,
d. ESCO formula.
To ensure that the level of savings in the form of energy consumption reduction is measurable, it is necessary to include propulsion units with the following characteristics in the project:
a. rated power of 10 kW,
b. operating time of 4000 hours per year,
c. electric drives made in efficiency classes IE3, IE2, IE1 or older.
Of course, the above criteria are only a suggestion. We take great care to ensure the quality of our services, so each unit is analyzed individually.
The object inventory process carried out under the signed contracts with our Clients involves:
a. technical documentation,
b. photographic documentation,
c. measurements for accurate analysis of individual units.
All activities related to inventory are free of charge under the signed contract.
Usually, the payback period, assuming the cost of components, ranges from 1 to 2 years. The payback period depends mainly on the scope of modernization (modernization variant), electricity rates of the customers, as well as technical data of the analyzed drive units.
Yes, STERNET company carries out energy efficiency projects from start to finish. We support our Clients in all stages of the project:
a. Performing an Energy Efficiency Audit along with complete documentation necessary to obtain White Certificates and submitting them to the Energy Regulatory Office (URE).
b. Delivery of components included in the audit.
c. Dismantling of old drive units and assistance in possible disposal.
d. Installation of new drive units along with performing all necessary object works enabling their start-up.
e. Active participation and supervision of the start-up process of new drive units.
f. Signing of final protocols and certificates confirming the implementation of the modernization in accordance with the assumptions included in the Energy Efficiency Audit.
For several years, STERNET has been helping its clients improve energy efficiency by replacing drives (replacing older drives with energy-efficient ones). References from selected projects can be found on our website. In addition, the Energy Regulatory Office website contains cards of energy efficiency audits. Below are a few of them, which clearly describe the individual parameters that contributed to improving the energy efficiency of the enterprise.
