Information obligation of STERNET sp. z o.o.

regarding the processing of personal data.

According to Article 13(1)-(2) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ EU L 119, p. 1) – hereinafter referred to as GDPR – we would like to inform you that:

STERNET sp. z o.o. may obtain your data:

  • when you submit a query in person, via email or by phone,
  • upon receiving your business card,
  • during a business meeting or other personal contacts (e.g. trade fairs),
  • during the process of entering into an agreement with you.

4. What data does STERNET sp. z o.o. process?

STERNET sp. z o.o. processes data that you have provided during your inquiry, direct contact, or when entering into an agreement. This includes identification, address, and contact data. You may update or supplement this data during your communication with STERNET sp. z o.o. throughout our cooperation. If you are not a customer of STERNET sp. z o.o., but a contact person of our customer, e.g. a company or institution where you work, we only process your contact data such as your work phone number or work email address, position, and name and surname if they have been provided to us.

5. The processing of your personal data by STERNET sp. z o.o. has the following purposes and legal basis:

  • To perform the contract concluded with you, including payment processing and handling of the complaint process (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
  • For analytical purposes such as improving the selection of services to meet the needs of our customers, optimizing our products and service processes, building knowledge about our customers, and conducting financial analysis of our company, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • For archiving (evidence) purposes, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. to secure information in the event of a legal need to prove facts (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • For eventual establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • For the purpose of investigating customer satisfaction, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. to determine the quality of our service and the level of customer satisfaction with our products and services (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • For offering you our products and services directly (direct marketing), including profiling to match them to your needs, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • For offering you directly (direct marketing) the products and services of our partners, e.g. in the form of discount coupons, including profiling to match them to your needs, which is a legitimate interest pursued by STERNET sp. z o.o. and our partners (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Do you have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data?

6.1. You have the right to object to the processing of your data described above at any time. We will stop processing your data for these purposes unless we can demonstrate that there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless your data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

6.2. You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes. If you exercise this right, we will stop processing your data for this purpose.

7. What is the processing time of your personal data by STERNET sp. z o.o.?

STERNET sp. z o.o. will process your personal data:

for the period during which claims related to the contract concluded with you or provisions of law may arise, or until the expiry of the limitation period for your claims against STERNET sp. z o.o. and/or claims of STERNET sp. z o.o. against you,

for the purposes of direct marketing of its products and services until five years have passed since your last response to the marketing proposal from STERNET sp. z o.o. (e.g. sending an inquiry to STERNET sp. z o.o.) or your purchase of a product from STERNET sp. z o.o., or until you object to their processing for this purpose.

8. Do you have to provide STERNET sp. z o.o. with your personal data?

STERNET sp. z o.o. requires the following personal data in order to conclude and perform a contract:

  • In case of submitting inquiries via email and/or telephone unrelated to the conclusion or performance of a contract, you should provide your name, email address, and phone number.
  • In order to conclude and perform a contract, you must provide your identification data, including your correspondence address, if different from the registered office address, and contact details.

If you are not our Client, but a contact person of our Client, such as a company or institution you work for, we only process your contact data such as a business phone number or business email address, job title, and also your name and surname if provided to us.

Providing contact information is voluntary but necessary to prepare an offer and conclude a contract.

9. Does STERNET sp. z o.o. share your personal data with third parties?

STERNET sp. z o.o. may disclose your personal data to its partners, i.e. companies with which it cooperates by combining products or services, etc.

Your data may also be accessed by subcontractors of STERNET sp. z o.o. (processing entities), such as transport, insurance, IT companies, damage adjusters, service providers in the scope of damage liquidation, and marketing service providers.

10. What are your rights regarding the processing of data by STERNET sp. z o.o.?

According to GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • the right to access your data and receive a copy of it,
  • the right to rectify (correct) your data,
  • the right to erasure of data, limitation of data processing,
  • the right to object to data processing,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the General Inspector of Personal Data Protection, Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

The website uses cookies
